In Spring 2026 we had the pleasure of visiting artist Brenda Schweder at her beautiful old adobe home in Tucson, Arizona.
We spent two whole days capturing shots of Brenda’s unique home and studio, carefully curated with a combination of her own found object art mixed in with other collectables, heirlooms, and antiques.
The focus of the An Artist Lives Here article in Where Women Create magazine was her home, but you know us… we just had to check out the art studio, which was truly one of the more unique artist studios we have visited.
Unlike your typical studio filled with paint splatters, ceramic dust, or wood shavings… Brenda’s was filled with… well… too many things to list! From baby doll parts and vintage toys, to rusted nails and belt buckles… it truly felt like we were in a real-life I Spy book!
Here’s just a bit of what we created with Brenda during those two days in the Tucson desert!
